Our Discussion Forum Closure

Dear Forum Members,

It is with sadness that we announce that the FA Forum will cease operations on 31 July 2026.

As many of you know, Families Anonymous is run entirely by volunteers. Unfortunately, with our current resources and volunteer capacity, we are no longer able to effectively manage and maintain the forum.

Please be assured that support remains available. Families Anonymous continues to offer a wide range of face-to-face and online meetings, all of which are open to anyone seeking help and support. We would encourage you to contact the FA Helpline on 0207 498 4680, where we will be delighted to direct you to your nearest FA meeting or other appropriate 12-Step fellowship programme.

We would also like to reassure members that, while FA will retain copies of forum posts for organisational records, no personal information, including email addresses, will be retained following the closure of the forum.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has contributed to and supported the FA Forum over the years. Your participation, encouragement, and shared experiences have helped many families facing difficult challenges. As the forum closes, we warmly encourage anyone seeking ongoing support to connect with one of the many FA fellowship meetings available.

With Love in the Fellowship,

Looking for support right now?

If you are a family member or loved one affected by someone else’s substance misuse, we would warmly encourage you to consider attending one of our Families Anonymous group meetings. Many people find that meeting others face-to-face — or online — who truly understand what they are going through can be incredibly valuable, often more so than an online forum.

Our groups are free to attend, welcoming, and completely confidential. You do not need to register in advance for most meetings — you can simply turn up.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes, and we hope to be in a position to reopen forum registrations in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
